Hidden among the flowers, it lies in wait... ready to reveal its true nature to anyone who dares to look closely.
Here's a DIY project for creating a carnivorous flower to subtly decorate your home for Halloween.
Materials:
Step-by-step:
Make layers of petals (here, 4 large ones and 1 small one in red) on a hexagonal plate, as well as 3 or 4 small white triangles (the future teeth). Then melt them with an iron and parchment paper (remove the plate and iron over them to get nicely spread petals).
While the petals are still warm, shape them into a rounded form (be careful, they set quite quickly).
make holes in the center of the flower (if you don't have a hole punch, use a needle or toothpick, but you must do this before the plastic cool-down).
Then glue small pistils to the stem of the flower with hot glue and slide each layer of petals into place, adding glue between each layer.
Be careful! Start with the smallest petals (the red ones in my case).
Using the glue gun, add three teeth to the center of the petal and two eyes to other petals around it.
Here is a perfect carnivorous plant for Halloween!
