What if a little ladybug decided to dress itself in all the colors of the rainbow?

This simple and fun activity invites children to create an adorable mobile ladybug while learning about colors and developing their fine motor skills.
A perfect craft project for a quiet, colorful activity.
Materials
White cardstock
Markers or colored pencils
Black paper
Scissors
Glue
Hole punch
Paper clip
Step-by-step
Cut out two circles with a diameter of 5 cm from cardstock.
Create the wings (elytra)
Color a circle red
Add small black dots
Cut the circle in half
Color the second circle with the colors of the rainbow

4. Cut out the following from black paper: 6 legs and 1 head
5. Glue these pieces to the back of the rainbow circle
6. Assemble the ladybug
Make a hole at the top of the rainbow circle
Overlap the two red semicircles (wings) slightly
Make a hole in the same spot
Secure everything with a brad
The wings can now open and close!
