Snowdrops are often the first flowers to appear as winter slowly fades away. Their delicate white petals naturally inspire gentle and poetic crafts to make with children.
Today, I’m sharing how to create a beautiful snowdrop fairy using a wooden peg doll, crepe paper, and a recycled egg carton.

This simple activity is perfect for celebrating the changing seasons while encouraging creativity and fine motor skills.
This craft can easily be adapted for different ages with adult guidance.
Material :
Wooden peg doll
White crepe paper
Green crepe paper
Cardboard egg carton
Green paint
Glue
Scissors
Black and white Posca markers
Light pink oil pastel
Step-by-step:
Draw the face
Use black and white markers to draw simple eyes. Add a small mouth with a black marker.
Apply a little light pink oil pastel on the cheeks for a soft, natural look.
Make the petal dress
Cut 6 petal shapes from the white crepe paper.
Glue the petals around the peg doll to create a delicate flower dress.
Cut a thin strip of green crepe paper and glue it around the neck to form the flower collar.
Create a sepal hat
Paint a cone inside a cardboard egg carton green.
Cut out the cone. Then cut the edges to round them off and form 4 sepals.
Glue the hat onto the figurine's head.
Make the stem
Roll green crepe paper to create the stem. Glue to hold in place.
Insert and glue the crepe paper roll into the hole at the top of the cone.
There you go, a pretty little fairy to play with, invent beautiful stories or simply decorate a bedroom, living room, window sill, etc.

Why is this activity interesting for children?
Develops fine motor skills
Encourages creativity
Allows them to discover nature and the seasons
Introduces creative recycling with egg cartons
